APPEAL TO THE PUBLIC IN FACE OF COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Anweshan Bigyan Sanstha (Garia), are trying to create CORONA RELIEF FUND by publicly appealing for donation from kind-hearted donors like you. We got started about a month back with our own initiatives at the residences of two of our members.We distributed food packets to some very poor and needy families in the Garia – Panchpota locality.

About Us

Though India gained independence from the Foreign Rule in 1947, still in the present times, one observes the stark presence of superstition, unscientific notions, fanaticism, communalism, untouchability, casteism, blind faith in astrology etc. existing in society. In this atmosphere of social backwardness, some science conscious persons of Garia, a locality situated in the south-east part of the city of Kolkata, West Bengal, India, took the initiative of forming a common platform to spread the message of science among the masses and develop programmes of social service in society. In this way Anweshan Bigyan Sanstha (Garia) (ABS) was established, in the year 2000, as a voluntary, non-profitable, science and social welfare organization. It was registered under the West Bengal Societies Registration Act, 1961 with the Registration No. S/1L/8214 of 2001-02.
